QuestionI get that each "plug unit" can be controlled separately (there are 2 in a pack), but on just one single unit, can each plug socket be run independently from the other. (ie. One plug socket used on an automated daily timer while the 2nd socket is ON 24/7)

- Answer Yes indeed, the sockets can be run independently. In fact the app requires that you uniquely name each socket.

QuestionHow elaborate can the schedules be? Can I have a different schedule for every day of the week? Can it turn something on and off 6 or 8 times a day?

- Answer I have never used it that way, but I just tested building a schedule and I put in 7 times with on and off. It let me build it and still showed the “+” as if I could keep going. So base on the my guess would be yes!

- Answer Yes, you can turn off the main power supply and come back and reconnect without losing the programming schedule on the unit. I did exactly that when I had to replace the outdoor outlet that the unit was plugged into, which took me several days to complete...it never lost its functionality/programming.

- Answer The outlet side of this remote plug is completely open once you open the cover. If your cord will fit, then yes. There is no mention of fused protection, it only says Surge and Overheat protection. If your using the "drop cord" from overhead, then you must secure the cord by other means.

- Answer In the app permissions give it permission to run in the back ground. What happens when your screen shuts off the operating system kills the app.

- Answer The schedule is set through the VeSync app, so even if you unplug it the outlet will reconnect when you plug it back in. I do it at least once every two weeks without fail.

- Answer Since it works with wi-fi it should work with 5ghz. But 5ghz is a weaker signal than 2.5 so you will have to check if you are in range.
