The manual expressly forbids the use of liquid or gel-based detergents. The manual says powder-based detergents and rinse aids are preferred. Gel, liquid, or powder-based pods are also compatible with the unit, but should be placed somewhere in the drum without interfering with the rotating spray head. I’ve tried gel-based detergents because I’m a renegade with no regard for the rules, and the gel was not fully dissolved either. TL;DR: Use powder or a pod.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use Cascade Ultimate Platinum pods. The results usually are outstanding. Clean both the small filter and the larger flat filter every few months because the pod material can collect there.
