• Absolutely not. They are SPLASH proof, but not waterproof and should not be immersed.

• The fitbit trackers are not waterproof. They are ok if you work up a sweat or get splashed on but should not be submerged in liquid.

• No you cannot swim with the Alta. It's water resistant. Not waterproof.

• I Swim and surf with mine all of the time. The only thing I would be concerned about is it possibly falling off. Even though the band is good quality and it's never happened to me, I only wear it in the ocean underneath my wetsuit to just to be safe.
