You can enter in the exercise into your fitbit app first so it tracks it form start to finish, but if you forget, it will eventually catch on and automatically enter it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Bicycle riding like machine workouts are tricky because the Alta needs to be stimulated in order to track steps. If your arm is stagnant, it likely won't record steps and it is not GPS enabled to track your route. You could try putting in on your ankle or shoe to see if it will pickup your movement.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it seems to track it when I ride alone at a brisk rate, but it does not seem to track it when I ride slowly with my kids.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not very well. Mostly running.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't track well if you keep your hands on the handlebars of the bike. If you pump your arms back and forth as if you were on an elliptical, it will record It, fairly accurately, but it lists it as an elliptical activity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have worn it biking a couple of times and it is dead on with the activity time (same goes for time on the eliptical). The only issue I have with the biking is that the calories burned seem to be low compared to some other websites - but that has nothing to do with the unit - it's what someone at Fitbit decided the calories burned per minute would be. So don't worry - use it biking no problem. .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So far, great! Iv only been ridding with it twice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not personally tired but some friends have commented that they wear the tracker on their ankle for riding. If outdoors be sure its secure!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only way this device will accurately track your bicycle riding is that you will need to put it on your ankle. It doesn't do a good a job of tracking while on your wrist.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you can enter in your activity afterwards but I haven't seen anywhere in the application that can count a bike ride movements with the Alta.
