If synced with your phone, it will vibrate to let you know you have an incoming call. I believe it is supposed to scroll the Caller ID information too, but I haven't bothered to pay attention if it actually is doing this or not. As for texts, I do not believe that it does. I have not ever noticed it vibrate for a text notification, and it certainly doesn't display/scroll through texts of any kind.

No, it does not register text messages. It will show incoming calls.
