• The Charge HR model does not have GPS. Currently, the only FitBit with GPS is the Surge model.

• No. The manual suggests that you can take your mobile phone with you, but this is not an important fact for me at this point. I am tracking against "steps" and "calories burned". I know that the distance is not exactly accurate, but I can compare one day to the next for the same trip so I can still get an idea of my performance.
