It will need internet to confirm you own the game and there is a setting to limit how much bandwidth is used during the game. It is "better" with a fast connection so it can download the scenery in real time but if you want to fly without the real time downloads you can. Happy flying!

I haven't tried it but the info from tutorials says you don't have to be on internet.You just have to go in the settings to disable the live streaming of backgrounds and scenery,but it can be done.hope this helps.

Yes, you will need to as all the landscape rendering are from online.

You do need to play over the internet and the latest update is 12.75 GB’s to download. I upgraded my computer to a faster machine just so I could have an adequate frame rate. Also, the Steam Eddition might be easier than the fully loaded version and is much cheaper. The only other resolve is to upgrade your internet connection.
