The Series S is good for children. It's cheaper. It's an economy console. The Series X is more expensive but the games will run and look better on the Series X than the Series X. Get the Series S for you Son if he's not really a hardcore gamer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you don't want to spend much you could get an Xbox one with 500gb. If he plans on using headphones rather than tv speakers the controller would have to be a newer one, so either an Xbox one s controller, which still works for an older Xbox one, or a Power A controller. So basically a standard Xbox one with a newer controller.

For the best possible play experience, we recommend getting Xbox Series X, which will allow your son to play the game in true 4K resolution at 30 frames per second with ray-tracing support. The next best option is Xbox Series S, which can output the game at 1080p resolution at 30fps. (Please note that Xbox Series S is an all-digital console and not compatible with the disc version of the game.) Xbox Series X/S consoles will also have a performance mode capable of running the game at 60fps. Forza Horizon 5 is also compatible with all Xbox One consoles. The game may be played with any standard Xbox controller, however several compatible racing peripherals are also available.
