• You can install it either way. It just has wiring terminals in the bottom that you can wire with either Romex or a plug that comes with most "Dishwasher instillation kits" that you'll need to buy separate.

• It's not plug in but I believe you can buy the kit to do that.

• Hardwired inside a small electrical box in the front, behind the kick plate.

• Hi there! This is a direct connect. The junction box is located on the right underside of the kickplate. ~ Corletta
