• i just bought this and it DOES not require any draining in AC mode... you only need to drain if you use dehumidifier. i just called frigidaire to confirm this.

• There is a place to put a hose if you use this as a dehumidifier. You can run it as an AC and you won't need to use that. You just need to keep the distance between your unit and the window as short as possible. Also - try to keep that path as straight as possible. The moisture will just vent out the window.

• Actually, I am using in a 15x12 room. And in A/C mode it makes 2 full cups of water a day. So yes it absolutely needs to drain. I got a P1 error and had to drain after 5 hours of use.

• Yes, the Frigidaire does have a drainage hose.

• You only need a water drainage hose if you run this in Dry(dehumidify) mode. The water drainage hose is NOT required for COOLING MODE.

• Yes this AC comes with the hose, it also has an evaporative function if you choose to use it.
