“Do i necessarily need to have a drain exhaust in room when using in AC mode. I dont have any provision for drainage and i am looking for something essentially in plug and play standalone mode”

• No you don't need a drain just put the air exhaust in the window and turn it on. We just had a week of 90s and high humidity worked just great.
