Thanks for the reply--hopefully that's helpful to someone, but that isn't the issue for me, unfortunately. The smell is coming seemingly from the plastic itself and is there whether unit is running or not. The smell is worse when unit's running and especially if the windows are closed up. Was hoping it was just "new" smell, some of the machine oils from being packed or whatever. The shorter return window has elapsed on this so guess I'm stuch. Maybe over a few months of use will go away? It does do the job of cooling well tho.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You should make sure the exhaust tubes are securely connected. I had the same thing. I just twisted the connections from the ac to the outside a bit more and it was gone
