Customers consistently note the 3–in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner's excellent cooling performance and ease of installation. Many appreciate its user-friendly features, including the remote control, while some find the unit heavy and the exhaust hose prone to issues. Noise level is another area where opinions diverge, with some users finding it acceptable and others noting it can be quite loud. Overall, the air conditioner receives positive feedback for its cooling capabilities but also draws criticism for certain aspects of its design and functionality.

I just received my fridgaire 3-1 portable air conditioner 8000/12,000 BTU. It arrived quicker than what the date posted, and for that, I am grateful!
Pros: AC works as it should, very efficient and cold at 72*, as much expected, works very well in a 300-600sqft bedroom, remote and wireless features are amazing.
Cons: The plastics panel that connects to the hose is a ‘snap-on’ (it works but you will knock it off easily by a slight bump), the hose heats up, so expect heat/air draft (I suggest you buy insulated duct wrap from lowes or Home Depot, along with air duct tape), screws in the windows (I avoided this part) if you feel insecure, it’s not like anyone is going to look into full detail of your bedroom/house windows.
Overall: 8/10. It’s an amazing purchase and worth the quality.

I bought this Frigidaire 3-in-1 portable air conditioner for a friend who has an older apartment in NYC. She needed a floor air conditioner instead of a window model. This was perfect and looks really nice and sleek. She says it blows really cold air. I love that Best Buy carries major brands like this, and the price was excellent, too!

I love this thing. Only thing is. You can hear the rain falling etc. Reminds me of camping. It gets pretty cold. Can is adjustable, has remote.I like not having to get out of bed to turn it down. We did have to cut the plastic piece the hose goes in. To fit my window. But, you may not. My house is like 115 years old. Doorways are narrow here. So i think you should be happy with this item. It's been a while. Still love this.

The versatility of this product and its size fundamental piece in the Summer, plus easy to store when not in use. And the air conditioner cools the room very well and most importantly without so much noise.

We chose the Frigidaire 3-in-1 portable AC because it had been reviewed as being quieter than some others, and it does seem relatively quiet. Unpacking and setup was simple enough, although the operation manual is not very user-friendly. The device seems well designed, although the flexible air hose connectors on both the device and the window slider kit seem to be rather flimsy. I find turning-on the black Control Panel difficult to read without the help of a flashlight.
Our main complaint:
There is a lack of communication regarding whether or not to connect a (water) hose to the "continuous drain outlet" on the back – the unit will operate with that outlet capped off, but when a hose is attached, it can fill a gallon jug in just a few hours with water that is removed from the air. Why is this choice not presented in any of the marketing literature? The unit seems to cool more efficiently when the water is draining, but we don't want to have to keep emptying water jugs or worrying about overflow onto the floor. (And drilling a hole to the outdoors is out of the question.) So we will operate it in capped-off drain mode.

Pretty dang good. Haven’t been hot since last month. If it could get even colder, I would say it is perfect.
Does the job. Looks good. Easy to set up, as I’ve previously had bad window unit set-up experience.
Remote needs to be pointed directly at it or it won’t turn on/off. Didn’t think I’d be using the remote but it’s nice to have.

Frigidaire 12,000 BTU AC Review

The Frigidaire 12,000 BTU (8,000 SACC BTU) is an excellent A/C. I owned an LG 12,000 about 6 year's old that finally died, that unit was much louder with less features. I spent 2 weeks looking at much more expensive units including the LG and decided to go with this, the Frigidaire and that was the best choice. I feel other reviews don't all say how great this unit is. I myself am very pleased after 2 months of daily use.

REALLY like this air conditioner! It cools my upstairs down quickly and it quieter than I expected. Wish I had bought one sooner. Within the first week, it did start to have a cyclical noisy vibration when it ran at the highest speed to cool the air. Best Buy is exchanging it - will write a new review on that one! (The top of the a/c looks bumpy in the photo because I put the protective plastic back on for the exchange)

I'm sure the unit would've been a lot nicer if Best Buy had done even the most basic packaging job prior to shipping. I purchased "open box - excellent) and received the unit upside down in its original box totally devoid of packaging material. Just bouncing around loose inside. Panels had cracked or come apart. Parts were everywhere (and damaged) and the unit made a heck of a noise when starting up. I opted for a return and sent it back promptly 3 days after receiving it. Now, 3 weeks later I see that the charge has yet to be refunded. I call in and at first am told there's no record of a return despite Best Buy having provided the return label and arranging the UPS pickup. Then I pull out my case number (good thing I texted it to myself) and suddenly they see the return. But I am told that even though UPS picked up the unit, since Best Buy hasn't received it yet, they have not yet issued a refund. It's been 3 weeks, y'all. UPS clearly lost it (not surprising considering I sent it back just the way it was sent to me). Now I have to fight to get my money back. This is ridiculous and Best Buy's customer service is absolutely abysmal. Seriously. Some of the worst I have encountered as a consumer. Seriously considering cancelling my Best Buy card and just ceasing to do business with them because of this.

Works great for 350 sqft but I do not see how it would cool 550 as described. We use the schedule timer from 10 am to 9 pm to keep living room and kitchen cool. Approx 350 sqft. It does have a mostly quiet mode but it will take a long time to cool. We use auto feature to keep. Temp. At 79. We also wrapped the exhaust hose with insulation to keep the heat from the hose making the cooling fight to keep temp. Electric went up approximately $30 a month

The Frigidaire portable air conditioner is absolutely phenomenal. It cools my 20 X 25 upstairs Master Bedroom easily and very economically. It runs quiet.
Its vent automatically opens and shuts as the air comes on and off. This unit replaces a unit that was almost twice the size and didn’t cool nearly as fast or as efficiently. I would definitely be this product to anyone in the market. It took me and my teenage daughter less than 25 minutes to install and have it working flawlessly. The one vent hose replaced the two vent system we had. This product so much more efficient. I am more than happy with this. Buy this unit. You will be glad you did.

This has been perfect for keeping my son who is completely immobile cool. His body doesn’t regulate temperature and he has chronic respiratory failure so it also keeps the air purified and clean remote and it’s amazing.

This air conditioner has saved my life this summer! It doesnt cool much past my 300sq ft bedroom, but with some well placed fans it will reach the living room a bit. A little noisy when it kicks on in the middle of the night.

Good afternoon, personally for me Best Buy is the safest place to make your purchases of electronic equipment because, due to its great guarantee and service in the store, the employees are very friendly and very helpful and the air I bought was the best What did you recommend for my inverter house and it works very well again thanks best buy

The unit works great. Love having the ability to control with app away from home. The downside to this unit is the window kit. The kit this comes with is garbage. Buy an aftermarket window kit and this is 5 stars all day.

We have had this AC for about a month now and I can say I really like it. It runs very quietly and keeps our living room nice and cool. I still need to use a few of the other functions like the dehumidifier but I haven’t needed it yet. We live in Washington state on the west side and on hot days and AC is needed. This is so much better than having a window AC unit.

It worked for four months then started forming a giant ice cube across the entire back of the unit and throwing icicles against the fan. I kept the machine meticulously maintained and the air filters were routinely cleaned before the lights came on to do so.
The cold air outlet is insufficient. It is the size of an index card and even with the swing mechanism, did not circulate air in my square room. In the beginning of owning, I had to call Frigidaire customer service several times for help and was often told different and wrong answers and literally wasted hours on the phone. Remote control is worthless since it needs to be within a few feet of the machine and pointed directly at just the right certain line of sight- a bit ridiculous- just use the app.
