QuestionI noticed there was styrofoam on the inside of the vents. It’s making a loud vibration noise when on from it blowing the foam. Is this supposed to remain there or should it have been taken out with installation?

QuestionHow low can the temperature on the ac be set? Can it be set to 60 degrees? What is the Weight of the ac unit? Can the fins on the ac be adjusted to go straight out into the room? This ac will be placed in a alcove in the second floor bedrm.

- Answer Hello Mike. The air conditioner control will maintain the set temperature within 2 degrees Fahrenheit, between 60F and 90F degrees. The weight of the air conditioner is 64lbs. The side louvers fit into a track that we would not recommend bending, but can be adjusted for shortening the width. The installation does require a minimum of 24" in width. Hope this helps. ~ Anna

QuestionWhat is the width of the ridge on the bottom of the ac unit? My window track is only 1-1/4" so I need to know if this unit would properly seat in the window. The last unit I bought had a bottom ridge that was 1-3/8" wide so it would not seat in the window

QuestionIf I purchase the air conditioning unit open box and It comes from a store that isn’t not your home store, and something is found to be wrong with it after it’s arrival to my home could it be returned at my home store?

QuestionWhat is the width of the track on the bottom of the unit that the side panels to slide into? Our house has newer Andersen windows that only have a 3/4" space in the lower sash - already bought and returned a unit that didn't fit. Thanks!

QuestionCan you put this AC in a wall unit instead of the window?

- Answer For window units you want to strictly use it in a window because they convert the hot air outside into cool air. They work as a dehumidifier too so it would be very inefficient inside and it would drip water everywhere. All A.C. need to get air from outside in someway shape or form, even portable A.C. units have a tube that goes to the window. The A.c. units that are completely tubeless do not work well at all and will eat your electricity bill.
