• Yes you just plug the hole- fan is loud though.

• Hi, Frank. We are happy to hear that you are considering upgrading to a Gallery series microwave. However, we do not suggest this model as a replacement as this model is slightly larger at 1.9 cu ft and the older model is 1.6 cu ft. Hope this helps! - Kailey
