• Hi Tjr1, this unit cools by means of a thermo-electric cooling module. It requires adequate air flow to prevent the cooling module from overheating. It is not recommended that the unit be used in an enclosed location.

• Good day! We do not recommend putting a mini fridge in a standard, unmodified cupboard - it will not work! Heat will build up around the unit if proper ventilation is not provided, resulting in decreased performance and eventual failure. ~Rowena
