• Yes, it will work with any modern Apple TV. It is easier to use than the Apple Siri Remote because everything is hard buttons. I got one so my mother could control her Apple TV.

• Yes it worked with our 4k apple tv, current generation. We like it much better than the newest apple remote and it's nice to have an extra. You do need line of sight though.
