Its a new purchase. How do i get started? null

I bought it as a gift. When I got mine there was a USB cord. I merely connected to my laptop ad logged into Garmin. They downloaded the maps for USA - you will get most current download of maps. Once complete - just plug into port (cigarette style plug on mine) -turn on device.- their menus are described in booklet and on screen
