• We plugged the Garmin Drive 52 into our cigarette lighter for power, so I don't know if it can run on battery power alone. A USB cord was included, but it is too short to be useful. We bought this new Garmin to replaced a very old worn out Garmin drive for an upcoming trip and are very pleased with the new one. When we are in places without cell service, it is a life saver for getting places.
