- Answer Sounds like your device hasn’t acquired a satellite signal yet. Please take the device outdoors with a clear view of the sky and power it on. This should not take more than 3-5 minutes if the device is powered on and outdoors with a clear view of the sky.

- Answer No, unfortunately this model is not compatible with any type of TOPO or off-road maps. You may want to look at the new Garmin Overlander model. Overlander is the rugged, all-terrain navigator with on- and off-road navigation.
