It should work in the broadest sense of the word. The small screen size is a negative for such use. I have had it provide routes that were fine for my SUV but would have been disastrous for a RV or 18 wheeler such as traveling through the Sierra Nevada’s Sonora Pass. (26 foot length limit, brake-burning grades up to 26%. ) There are better -albeit more expensive- choices for RVs and commercial vehicles There are Garmin GPS units that are better optimized for RVs and commercial trucks by including larger screen , birds-eye views, and information that is more specific to those type vehicles
