• Per the Garmin website the GTM 36 is compatible with the drive assist.

• Yes, the GTM 36™ Traffic Receiver power cable that came with your nuvi 2595 will power the DriveAssist 51 LMT-S and provide traffic service. The GTM 60™ HD Digital Traffic Receiver is an option for receiving the HD traffic. Thanks, James

• You don't need a cable. This GPS can connect to your smartphone via Garmins Smartphone Link App (available for Apple or Android). This will get you their newest traffic offering that is based on Here (by Nokia). So far I have found the new traffic to be much better than the older HD traffic.
