“Just bought Garmin drivesmart 55. Opened it in my car to test the accuracy.put my home address 1 1/2 mile away. Got home. Back of Unit is extremely hot. I have had other units in the past with never this issue? Is the unit defective?”

• Never experienced the back of the GPS unit being hot and I use mine for work (12.5 hours).

• ours gets warm but not extremely hot, i would exchange
