“Does this unit give you the option to avoid streets, interstates, cities, etc.? That's one major difference my TomTom had that Garmin doesn't. I miss that option.”

This model includes the Custom Avoidances feature. Custom avoidances allow you select specific areas or sections of road to avoid. When the device calculates a route, it avoids these areas and roads unless no other reasonable route is available.
