The Garmin eLog system, comprised of the eLog device and the paired smartphone with the eLog app installed, may be moved and installed into a new truck. The Garmin eLog will save the electronic logs from the previous truck, and will record all information going forward from the new truck. Note that the eLog is capable of retaining electronic records for a period of at least 6 months.
