• It will synch with periph devices. I had the older style Garmin HRM and recently upgraded to the Pro Plus. It synchs with both. The Pro Plus is nice because you may begin your activity and then remove the watch. The PP HRM will continue to record and then will synch back up when it comes back into proximity with the watch. One thing that you should be aware of, however, is that the HRMs WILL NOT report data outside of an activity being recorded, so therefore you will not get HR unless you are wearing the watch on your wrist.
