“I have a Garmin 2757, bought a HD digital traffic cable GTM 60 does it have to be tuned to a FM radio station to work? I use it in my 2016 f-150 XLT not sure if it's working? how can I tell if its working ?”

Aloha, Once you start your route, go to settings and make sure you've checked the traffic box, than it'll work fine. Cannot enable traffic updates unless you actually start your route first. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Mike.
