it works with my garmin gps and it also has traffic on it. i bought a off brand before and it said the traffic was not working. so i went and bought this one and it works fine. i hope this helps

It is recommended to only use the vehicle power cable that came with the nüvi 2595LMT to provide traffic information since that vehicle power cable may double as the traffic receiver.
