WIll this charger work with a Garmin Nuvi 2797 LMT? null

Yes, it will charge the nuvi 2797LMT, but it will not provide the Garmin traffic service. >JF

Not sure if it will work for you. I bought one to use with an older Garmin Nuvi 1490 and it worked fine. I think - and admittedly I'm no expert - that if the little plug fits into the back of the GPS unit, it should be OK. The big power port plug end is pretty standard. I'd buy it and try it in the car immediately. What's the worst that can happen? If it doesn't work, you have to return it. The one caveat is that there is no traffic transponder built into the wire (the original that came with my Nuvi 1490 had it.) So if your 2797 uses that type of wire, you will lose the live traffic updates. I hunted in vain to try to find a replacement cord with the traffic receiver and had no luck. So I had to make do with this one. At least it provides power and the GPS works again.
