“Is there a mute button for controlling the beeping sounds? I read elsewhere there is a mute button for the beeping sounds if you wish to turn them off. However, on your Q&A, you answered a buyer that there were no controls for muting. Could you guide me in the right direction whether this unit has such a feature?”

• Hi dlf-this is Sue from GE Appliances. The microwave features a Sound pad. The beeper sound can be adjusted by pressing the Sound pad for mute or normal. Thanks for checking with us!

• Just hold the down button for 3 seconds till the "off" appears on the screen, same to turn beep back on.

• This microwave is super quiet and the beep can be turned off by a push button on the control panel.
