“Is there a protective film on control panel that can be removed? I can barely see the cooking numbers without a flashlight.”

• Yes there is. It took me a couple of days before I realized the film was on there. Controls are much clearer when it is removed.

• Hi Cherie- Thanks for choosing GE! Many microwaves are now packed with a plastic film applied to the outside of the door and control panel. This is to prevent scratching during shipping. The film should be removed before using the microwave. This is a static cling film that should peel off easily. Enjoy! SUEatGEA
