Why does my microwave says food and don’t work? null

I had that come up before and I just selected my choice again carefully and submitted it and it worked

If you place a vessel in the appliance, close the door and do not choose a setting or a time immediately, after about 2 min, it will "time out" and you must open, then close the door, then choose a setting.
