Hi Maribone - You should be pleased with your choice. This model has a Dinner Plate option. Simply press Dinner Plate pad repeatedly until the number of ounces appear in the display (9, 12, or 18 oz) and then Press Start. We also offer GE® 1.6 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave Oven JES1657SMSS (1150 Watts). It also has sensor Reheat option that senses the steam and automatically adjusts time and power for delicious cooking results. Press Reheat and Enter 1, 2, or 3 for the food code (refer to the Cooking Guide on page 9 of the Use and Care Guide for REHEAT) - 1= Pasta, 2= Fruits/Vegetables, 3=Dinner plate.
