“Is the turntable suppose to turn continuously smooth or does it have a slow jerk motion?”

Smooth. Im gonna return mine. Same issue with $400 breville 3in1. Turntable noise after less than 2 weeks of use. I ordered my 3rd microwave in just little more than a month.

We truly appreciate you choosing this microwave for your home and are happy to offer you some guidance in this. The turntable can turn in either direction when the microwave starts cooking. For example, it might rotate clockwise one time and counter-clockwise the next, or turn clockwise twice in a row. It is also normal for the tray to hesitate, jerk, drag, or pause while turning! If you feel that your turntable is not operating as it should, check to make sure it is centered and seated properly on the ring and that there is no food or debris under the wheels of the ring.
