I had a GE microwave that was about as old as yours. I also had the same problem -- what replaces it. I simply googled "what is the replacement model for model number xxxxxxxxxxxxx and the one that came up was the one I bought. I suggest thought that you do check the measurements of your current model against the measurements of the new model just to be sure as I did.
