Yes. You need to take and use a screwdriver to switch the direction of the fan, but it’s all in the instructions.

It has a choice to use it either way! If you read the manual it tells you how to adjust the fan, to do so!

Hi Raju - All GE over-the-range microwave ovens are designed for adaptation to the following three types of ventilation: A. Outside Top Exhaust (Vertical Duct). B. Outside Back Exhaust (Horizontal Duct). C. Recirculating (Non-Vented Ductless). This microwave is shipped assembled for Outside Top Exhaust. Select the type of ventilation required for your installation. A recirculating charcoal filter is included for recirculating (non-vented) installation.
