A:AnswerIt has 2 lights towards the front. One on each side. They light up the center of the stove underneath perfectly. They have 2 settings, a high and a low or night light.
A:AnswerHi - The microwave comes equipped with a power cord. Requires a 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse.
Over-the-range models should be on a dedicated circuit. Check out the Installation Guide for complete details: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40675-4.PDF - Thanks for choosing GE. Enjoy! Sue
A:AnswerThe microwave is shipped from the factory to vent out the top (vertically), but can also be vented out the rear (horizontally) or recirculating (non-vent).
A:AnswerHi darpou - Thanks for viewing GE! You can expect the exhaust fan to be similar to that of a standard range hood. It has a two-speed fan with Low and High settings. Actual Decibel (sound) ratings are not available. Keep in touch! Sue

A:AnswerHi - All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Comparable models are GE® 1.7 Cu. Ft. These models can be easily converted to recirculating (non-vent). We also offer GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven with Recirculating Venting JNM7196DKBB (Black)- JNM7196DKWW (White)- factory-assembled for non-vent so no conversion is necessary. A:AnswerHi Roberto - Thanks for viewing GE! If you are replacing a 36" over-the-range microwave, many current 30" over-the-range microwaves offer an optional 36" filler kit to allow it to be installed in a 36" cut-out opening. We do not offer a filler kit for this model (JVM3160RFSS). Check out GE® 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven JVM6172SKSS. Optional 36" Side Filler Panel Kit JX36CSS sold separately. Also, all models can be converted to recirculating (ventless). Recirculating Charcoal Filter JX81J included. Also, check out GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven with Recirculating Venting JNM7196SKSS (no conversion necessary). Optional 36" Side Filler Panel Kit JX36DSS sold separately. We hope these models suit your needs. Keep in touch at 1-800-626-2005 or GEAppliances.com - Sue
A:AnswerHi Bob - When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. We certainly appreciate your loyalty! Keep in touch! Sue
A:AnswerHi Alan - The microwave does not require outside venting. It can be easily converted to recirculating (non-vent). Recirculating Charcoal Filter JX81L is included. When converted to recirculating, the air will be recirculated through the disposable charcoal filter that helps remove smoke and odors. Check out the Installation Instructions: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40675-4.PDF - Also, check out matching GE® 30" Free-Standing Electric Range JB625RKSS (Stainless/Black). Thanks for choosing GE! Sue
A:AnswerUnfortunately, I cannot answer that, but I can tell you that this is the 3rd microwave we have had in the past 12 or so years and every one had a different hole pattern to attach it to the wall. Not an insurmountable problem. But extra work and annoying. I would check directly with GE for an answer to your question.
A:AnswerMeasure your old microwave. Most are a standard size. Find one online you like. Look at the dinentions of the new microwave to see if it is he same as your old one. Pay for the installation. Hope this helps.
