QuestionI HAVE GE MODEL JVM 1850BD001 WHAT MODEL WILL FIT IN THE SAME SPACE AS THAT MODEL? The over the range space width is 29 3/4(29 7/8) with depth is 16 inches?

QuestionHello there we just purchased this microwave and i cant really see inside of it while food is cooking. Are we supposed to peel off the the plastic layer on the inside door? Its seems like its supposed to come off but, im just not sure.

QuestionMy microwave is working hasn't tripped the breaker however it is no longer getting heat. After further research I see we may need to replace the magnetron and something else, however I cant figure out what kind of magnetron I need. Please help. Thanks.

- Answer Hi Haileyoo- We are sorry to hear your microwave is not heating and suggest to make sure the “Timer” function was not inadvertently used. Check to ensure the door is closed firmly. Close it firmly, but do not slam. This confirms the engagement of the door's safety mechanisms. Reset the microwave electronics by turning off power at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or so. For safety reasons, we offer no do-it-yourself repair advice on microwave ovens due to an internal high voltage capacitor (can hold a high voltage charge even after it has been unplugged). Special equipment is generally needed to make a diagnosis. If the above suggestions do not solve the problem and the microwave still won't heat, we recommend contacting service. QuestionI just bought a Range top and cord was not long enough. How long is the electric cord? My old one was 42" and worked new one purchased was 37" and 2 short. I'm looking at JVM3160RFSS

QuestionHello. Does this microwave have inset hinges so it can open against a wall? My microwave and stove are flush against a wall on the left and the door has to open no wider than the unit.

- Answer My microwave has inset hinges on the left, so the door opens from the right side of the unit to the left. When the door is opened fully, it appears the door would extend past the left wall of the unit by approximately 1/4 of an inch. If you install your unit flush to the left side wall, it appears the unit's door would hit the wall by a quarter of an inch and not open fully. Hope this helps? My microwave is installed forward of the wall and therefore the door clears the wall.

Models JNM3163DJBB and JNM3163DJ1BB are the same. When the model is manufactured, the extra number is placed on the appliance rating plate and product registration card. QuestionHow do you turn the reset button light off for the filter.Pushing the button for three seconds or making a hard reset does not work. There is obviously a design error in the circuitry I wish GE would do something about it or replace the Microwave

While the venting is the same, when replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. Also, if installed for recirculating (non-vent), Charcoal Filter JX81L is included. - Answer Hi John - The microwave can be easily converted to recirculating (non-vent). Recirculating Charcoal Filter JX81L is included. Since the microwave will be converted to recirculating and not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through the disposable charcoal filter that helps remove smoke and odors. The vent is located on top, just above the door. - Answer It has 2 lights towards the front. One on each side. They light up the center of the stove underneath perfectly. They have 2 settings, a high and a low or night light.

- Answer Hi - The microwave comes equipped with a power cord. Requires a 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. Over-the-range models should be on a dedicated circuit. - Answer The microwave is shipped from the factory to vent out the top (vertically), but can also be vented out the rear (horizontally) or recirculating (non-vent).
