“The recommended microwave cut-out size is 16 1/2” by 30”. Is the back mounting plate/bracket height shorter than the 16 5/16” oven dimensions and would a cutout size of 15 5/8” by 30” allow the back mounting plate to fit flush against the wall?”

If you are replacing your over-the-range microwave, the good news is that any of our 30" over-the-range microwave models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range microwave. When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used.
