“Can the surface light - the light underneath, be programmed to turn on/off at a certain time....like on at 6am and off at 6pm?”

Hi, Good question! We appreciate you asking and we'd love to help. We found that this model does not have a programmable surface light. This means it must be turned on/off manually. Hope this helps! -Sylvia@GEA
