Hello Tori - Facing the front of the unit the cord is on right 8" up & 2" over to left. This power cord is 61 inches long. The water valve on most GE refrigerators is near the bottom of the back of the refrigerator. Some models have the valve on the right when viewing the refrigerator from the back, and some models have the valve on the left when viewing the refrigerator from the back. - TREY@GEA
