• I just got this dishwasher yesterday, and it is very quiet EXCEPT there seems to be one part of the cycle where it has a very annoying high pitched squeal. I cannot figure it out, but it does exist.

• Hi MJ61- While the motor is the same, GDT655SGJBB has 46 dBA rating and GDF530PGMCC has 54 dBA rating. The lower the dBA, the quieter the dishwasher. This model has Tub Collar Trim and Bitumen Full-wrap Blanket. This reduces noise vibration on the tub and is one of the best sound deadening materials used in dishwashers. Thanks for choosing GE!
