Your new washer may sound different from your prior unit because of the newer technology. Clicks, flowing water, gear sounds followed by pauses, and electric hum sounds are all part of the normal wash cycle. For a description of the sounds that are considered normal, please take a moment to review the support article on the GE Appliances website titled: "Washer - Unitized Washer Normal Sounds." If you consider the noise you're hearing to be abnormal, we recommend scheduling a service appointment for one of our Bodewell technicians to assess your unit. You can schedule an appointment by calling us at: 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393), Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET, Saturday – Sunday: Closed. -Don@GEAppliances
