Hi I have noticed there is a slight pause, but then my washer starts up and fills the drum according to the load size I chose. If you haven’t contacted repair you should. Also check the GE manual.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi - Thanks for reaching out to us! We are sorry to hear your washer is not working properly and apologize for any inconvenience. This is frustrating, we know. This model has Precise Fill (auto-load sensing) with 4 water levels. If set to Precise Fill, the washer will automatically measure the load size and add just the right amount of water. The water will not cover the clothes. This is normal. The lid must be closed to continue filling when Precise Fill is selected. See page 8 of the Use and Care Manual at the following link ("G" Start): https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90582-4.PDF - Also, we suggest viewing the following links for tips- TOP LOAD WASHER - FILL FUNCTION: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=36353 - TOP LOAD WASHER - NO FILL: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17383 - A technician may be required for an accurate diagnosis.
