A:AnswerI don't know if there is a manual way to turn off that fan. But if you are just letting it sit, don't you just turn the oven off altogether? If you mean you are starting out with Confection Bake but want to continue to bake without the fan, Cancel the operation and start it again in Bake.
A:AnswerMy husband and I installed ours in less than two hours. And we are old so we have to go slow. We had them deliver it directly into the kitchen and took it from there.

A:AnswerHi there, and thanks for reaching out with these great questions – we appreciate your interest in this wall oven, and we’re glad to advise. The display will show the rising temperature as the oven preheats to the ‘set’ temperature. Once it reaches that temperature, that will be shown until the oven is turned off. We are confident in the accuracy of the temperature reading, and can advise our wall ovens are designed with a temperature range of 170-550 degrees F. We have additional information on the temperature, how to set it and adjust it, etc., in the manual; if that might be useful for you, the manual is available on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. We hope this information is helpful! If you have any other questions or concerns, we’re happy to assist any time. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA

A:AnswerHi there - Great question! Modern wall ovens are designed specifically for closed door broiling and produce optimal broiling results. It is a good idea to use closed-door broiling when cooking in an oven where the controls are above the door. This helps protect the controls from getting too hot. We're so glad that you checked! -Mikayla@GEA

A:AnswerHi MarkS - Thanks for considering GE Model # JTS5000DNBB! Gas and electric ovens will cycle on and off throughout the cycle to maintain the set temperature. When the oven temperature has dropped below the set temperature, the oven cycles on again to heat and will then cycle off again once it is higher than the set temperature. The goal is to maintain an average set temperature, but you will see a normal swing in temperatures throughout the cycle. This is typical of ovens, and is factored into how recipes are created and used. The amount the oven will cycle (either higher or lower than the set temperature) will vary, and each individual unit can be different. While we cannot provide exact temperature fluctuation ranges or variance, temperatures may vary from the set temperature by + 30 degrees to – 30 degrees. The temperature swing can also vary by how and where you are measuring the temperature in the oven, room temperature, door openings, etc. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask. We are also happy to help at GEAppliances.com! Sue
