This vent hood can be installed under a 12" deep cabinet. If measuring from the bottom of the vent hood to the cooking surface, we recommend a maximum of 30" of clearance. We do not recommend replacing the halogen bulbs with LEDS. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure if I can answer your question/s fully. I bought this unit and got installed just a month ago. My guess is that you can use a LED lamp instead of the halogen lamp that came along with it because LED lamp (if you find one that fits) uses less power. My cabinet is about 25 inches tall and the circulator is attached under it. Height of the circulator unit is only 5 and half inches, length is 30 inches and width is 20 inches. Distance between the cooktop and circulator is 30 inches in my case. I hope this helps. Ravi
