A:AnswerBefore attempting to replace the lights, make sure that the light switch is turned off. Rotate light counterclockwise to unlock and pull out. Wearing latex gloves may offer a better grip. Replace with new light of same type, making sure pins are inserted properly into the sockets of the lamp holder and turn clockwise to lock. All lamps need to be GU10 compatible. For a helpful illustration, see page 8 of the Owner’s Manual, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the product page of the Best Buy website. Lauren@GEAppliances
A:AnswerThis vent hood can be installed under a 12" deep cabinet. If measuring from the bottom of the vent hood to the cooking surface, we recommend a maximum of 30" of clearance. We do not recommend replacing the halogen bulbs with LEDS. -Vikki@GEAppliances
A:AnswerStart with a 7" round duct take-off at top of hood. Remove the semi-round and also the rectangular piece next to it. Buy a 7" round duct take-off. Install with screws in existing holes or drill new ones. Be careful to not damage interior. Extend the 7" round duct to the outside (roof or side exterior wall). Install a roof jack or a side wall external damper cover with screen cover (to protect from varmints). Some variation may have to be made if connecting to an existing installation. Enjoy!
A:AnswerHello. Thanks for checking with us. We're sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the noise coming from the hood. We understand the inconvenience, and would like to offer some help. We recommend using a smaller duct pipe to reduce venting. It is important to minimize the duct run length and number of transitions and elbows. We recommend referring to the installation instruction starting on page 12 to troubleshoot: https://files.bbystatic.com/SIIlaP6Ajr9vobiQeMtxmA%3D%3D/0c442115-8f3d-445d-a4fe-ca0bfc8c2766.pdf. A:AnswerHello there, we're very sorry to hear you've had grease collecting on the fan. This is never what we want to see and we're happy to assist you. For help with this, we suggest cleaning your grease filter. To remove the filters: 1) Slide the filter using the tabs. 2) Pull the filter down and out. To clean the filters: 1) Soak them and the swish around in hot water and detergent. Allow the filter to dry completely before putting it back in place. 2) Light brushing may be used to help remove embedded soil and dust. 3) Do not use ammonia or ammonia products. 4) Dishwasher cleaning is acceptable, but may discolor the filter. To replace the filters: 1) Slide the filter into the frame slot(s). 2) Press up and slide into place. We hope this is useful information to you and we're wishing you the absolute best. - GW
