It's louder when the compressor comes on to cool.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello- We are sorry to hear you are having this issue with your air-conditioner. The temperature control is used to maintain the room temperature. The compressor will cycle on and off to keep the room at the set level of comfort. Set the temperature control at a lower number and the indoor air will become cooler. Set the temperature control at a higher number and the indoor air will become warmer. NOTE: If the air conditioner is off and is then turned on while set to COOL, it will take approximately 3 minutes for the compressor to start and cooling to begin. We don't have the dBA rating on our air-conditioners. The exact noise level of a particular unit depends on fan speed, room size, and how far you are from the air conditioner.
