“I'm somewhat confused. Regarding the filters which i believe are Charcoal, are they washable in sink and or dishwasher? Had the impression they're not and have to replace every 3-6 months. If washable, do they last like mesh filters, or need to replace?”

We are happy to help clarify the cleanability of your filters. The grease filters can be cleaned in hot soapy water and then rinsed and dried well. They can also be placed in your dishwasher if desired. It is important to clean them once a month to get the best performance. The charcoal filter that is for recirculation only should be replaced every 6 months unless it is noticeably dirty or discolored. This information can be found in your manual on page 7.
