• It has a drain hose. It does not have a collection bucket that can be removed. You only need to drain it if you are using the system for a dehumidifier or live in very high humidity climate using the A/C function. It will warn you if it needs to be emptied. It does have a self-evaporating system but will only be able to evaporate small amounts of condensation from living in a normal climate using the A/C function.

• This unit discharges evaporate through the window vent. It does NOT require any drainage apparatus in the residence.
